Who is behind it

This guide stands apart from the casino, from the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) and from the province. SIGA, a First Nations non-profit organization established in 1995, runs the casino. It accepts no wagers, keeps no player accounts and runs no cashier.

Every page is signed by the Broadway West Desk. That is an editorial desk, and no named author or single person stands behind the byline.

Where the facts come from

Facts on this site come from the casino's own pages at paintedhandcasino.ca, and from SIGA, Lotteries and Gaming Saskatchewan, the Government of Saskatchewan and the City of Yorkton. The facts were checked on October 3, 2026.

Distances follow a different rule. Every figure joins two OpenStreetMap map points in a straight line; it shows neither road distance nor driving time. For the road route, the directions button opens Google Maps.

The casino leaves some things unpublished. Holiday hours are one, and the casino phone, 306-786-6777, is the way to check a holiday. The games offered on the 9 electronic table games are another. Where that happens, the guide says so instead of guessing.

How the paid links work

The home page is the single spot in this guide with paid links, each tagged Ad. Each of them opens a partner site, an online casino with private owners. Its name stays off these pages, and the partner may be swapped. It holds no Saskatchewan licence: in Saskatchewan the only legal online gambling site is PlayNow.com. SIGA self-exclusion and Game Break do not reach the partner's site.

Paid placement never applies to links pointing to the casino, SIGA, the province or help services.

The drawings and the photo

An image generator drew every drawing on this site. The young woman in them is an illustrated character, and there is no such person. She has no job at Painted Hand Casino, does not write the guide and never plays a game. Four drawings sit on invented backgrounds, and the sign with the casino name came from the generator too. The drawings of the casino front and the event hall come from real photographs, with the woman added.

The one photograph on the site shows the riders in front of the casino entrance. It is by Suzanne Schroeter, shared under CC BY-SA 2.0 on Wikimedia Commons.

What the site keeps

This guide has no logins, forms or ad trackers. Its small counter leaves nothing on your device, but each visit's network address and browser go to a separate analytics provider. If you pick a light or dark look, that choice is kept only for the open browser tab and nowhere else.
